I Will Not Defame New Orleans.

I feel like such a busy little housewife today. I mean, this is what housewives do with their lives, yes?

  • Woke at 11 to let the bug man in. Supervised his rounds downstairs, helped pull the stove out, rigid-foam holes in the floor and around pipes, etc.

  • Next, the A/C guy came to fix some wire so Clifford will be cool again.

  • Electricians next, running wire to a ceiling medallion in my new office downstairs. I served them Cokes and handed them hammers while they worked.

  • Drove my husband to the airport like a good little wife for that big biz trip. Wives not allowed.

  • Came home just in time to meet the piano tuner. Wrote letters and posted them while he was working.

  • All these little tasks were performed while under the influence of strong painkillers. How more 50s can you get?
If I had any more minutes in the day, I would have baked cookies in my starched and ironed teal tulle apron.

Once again, to quote Kids in the Hall: "I wish I were a lesbian." "Yah, lesbians get so much done in a day."
I Will Not Defame New Orleans.

Wait till your number comes up.

Sigh. I knew I would get nailed eventually. Er, "thanks", neshenti!

1. Total number of films I own on DVD/video:

2. The last film I bought:
I honestly don't remember. Since I got a DVD burner, I've been expanding my library by making copies of Netflix movies.

Perhaps the last thing I legitimately bought was Stranger with Candy, III.

3. The last film I saw in the theater:
God damn, this is hard!
I don't really remember. Don't go to the theatre that much.
Maybe "28 Days Later" with angeliska et al? That was quite a while ago.

4. The last film I watched:
Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle

5. Five films that I watch a lot:
Dangerous Liaisons
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Gone with the Wind
Importance of Being Earnest (1950s ver.)
House on Sorority Row

6. Five films that I find significant:
Best movie to watch before going out: 200 Cigarettes
Best movie for self-indulgence after a recent break-up: Annie Hall
Best reality-check: Requiem for a Dream
Best movie that pisses you off and gets you off your ass to actually do something about it: F9/11
Best movie to inspire me to work more: Catch Me If You Can

6 1/2. (I'd like to add one) Last movie you were in (or worked on):

7. Tag 5 people and have them put this in their journal:
